Real Madrid has beaten Espanyol in the la liga at the Barnabeu stadium. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season from a 28th minute penalty.
Both sides lost a man each but it was Madrid who emerged with the second goal as Argentinian Gonzalo Higuain hit a low shot into the goal.
Frenchman Karim Benzema made it three nil for Madrid with a strike three minutes from time. Madrid now top the table with ten points from four matches.
